Brent Music Activities

Boom Band Project - Autumn 22 - An inclusive ensemble for KS2 pupils

All are welcome. Bring your own instrument or borrow one, with ukuleles, tuned percussion, drums of different kinds and much more to choose from.

Boom Bands are aimed at KS2 pupils who enjoy making music with others. It's a wonderful opportunity for pupils to play in an ensemble alongside musicians from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It is not necessary to be formally learning an instrument to take part as instruments will be provided. If pupils do play an instrument and would like to bring it along, that's fine too!

This project culminates with a performance with musicians from the RPO and the Brent Youth Concert Pops Orchestra on 11th December.

Don't miss this wonderful opportunity for young people to make music together in an inclusive setting.

Where and when?

Each workshop consists of 2 sessions on consecutive Tuesdays. You can choose from two different locations.

All pupils will then come together for a workshop and performance on Sunday 11th December at Queens Park Community School, NW6 7BQ, with a workshop in the afternoon and a concert in the early evening.

1. St Robert Southwell RC Primary School, NW9 8YD (5pm - 6:30pm, on Tuesday 8th and Tuesday 15th November)

2. Malorees Junior School, NW6 7PB (5pm - 6:30pm on Tuesday 22nd and Tuesday 29th November)
